Well gentlemen, DTDT Tampa Bay is now in the DTDT memory banks and record books! I hope all of you who participated in this years event had as great a time as I had! There were no major hiccups in the three to four days we spent in the Tampa area. I have been to the Tampa area several previous times but had a completely different experience this time. I learned much about the Tampa culture and history I had not known before, thanks to Magic Carpet Glide Segway Tours. Our tour guide was very informative about Tampa Bay history and how the city came to be. Also, our trips to the Cuban founded, Ybor City were fabulous! Ybor is a cigar smokers paradise! And, the nightlife, well I’ll just say, you should have been there to experience it yourself. There were a few challenges at the Tailgreeter (Tampa Bay Leatherheads) sponsored tailgate (pre-game party), but we chugged through it. There were a couple of (standing Vikings) challenges as well at the game, but we made it through, (without sic ‘in Johnny R. on them)!! If you were there, you’ll know what I mean by that!. Anyway, overall it was a wonderful experience and I believe those who did participate had a fun time. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the men who participated, including our declared “Rookie of the year,” Joe Arce! (Sorry Mike B.)! It is now time to reflect, review, and begin our process of selecting a city to venture to next Fall. In the meantime, I will be selectively emailing all of the 2026 Tampa participants with a survey about our trip. It is always our goal to make our DTDT trips as enjoyable and safe as possible! We do however know that we will never be able to please 100% of the crew 100% of the time! We’ll settle for 80% or higher if possible. Please let Omar or I know what we can do for “you” to make your experiences the best they possibly can be with DTDT! Until we meet again, God Bless the DTDt Brotherhood fo’ Life!!!
